On Tuesday, Key Stages 2 and 3 were fortunate enough to have a visit from Portals to the Past as part of curriculum enrichment for History.  The workshop leader has written books, featured on Horrible Histories and regularly teaches and lectures on aspects of how we used to live.

Students learnt about chronology – where Ancient Rome was in relation to other eras of history.  They explored a range of artefacts, played Roman games, completed a roleplay, and participated in a team quiz.

The students enjoyed the first-hand experience this workshop provided and were overwhelmingly positive.  Equally, the workshop leader emphasised how wonderful the children were to teach and what a pleasure it was to deliver this workshop.
