On 5th February, year 9 and Year 10 visited Aerozone, the educational facility at Stansted Airport. They travelled to and from Aerozone using public transport – a bus from Takeley to the airport and a bus from the terminal to the Aerozone building.
Pupils were given an Introduction to the airport; the history of the airport and overview of the range of jobs within the airport group (around 12 000 jobs) There was discussion on career plans of students, a presentation from police dog handler and demonstration of police dog locating explosives.
The presentation from the security officer including information on hourly rates, shift patterns and career progression. The pupils were given an explanation of the layout of the airport and location of different jobs within the airport grounds.

On 11th February Shiva came to share about her life in Iran with Year 7 & 8. The focus was on living in Iran and what her life was like living there. A Tourist video was used about Iran. Shiva put together a Power point on the physical and human geography of Iran and a comparison was constantly made between England and Iran.
