With so much talk about our countries’ future in Europe, on the day of the general election we held a European Culture day. The juniors have been doing a topic on Europe and invited the rest of the school to be part of the day. Pupils and staff made tickets containing information about a European country which they exchanged for European food. They were able to sample Hungarian, German, Dutch, Belgian, Spanish, French and Greek food and a display of the tickets was created for everyone to see.
The Infants and Juniors had an assembly where they shared the information they had found out and the French class continued the theme in the afternoon. A memorable day was had by all.
