Years 7-10 enjoyed a superb day at Walton on the Naze this week thanks to excellent weather and their outstanding behaviour.
Our aim was to compare managed and unmanaged sections of coastline and evaluate the effectiveness of hard engineering strategies in the area. Year 9-10 will be able to draw on this investigation as part of their GCSE course. Years 7 and 8 were able to put into practice their classwork on weather and climate as well as gain an experience of gathering primary data in the field.
We also made sure there was time for splashing around in the waves, shark tooth hunting, chips and ice cream!
Thanks go to Charlotte, Bani and Linda for their help throughout the day.
