Geography Field Trip to Stratford
Our Y7 to Y10 students will be heading to Stratford, East London as part of their studies on urban areas and development.
They will spend the day gathering data in order to assess the impact of regeneration in East London. Field work is an essential part of the study of geography in all Key Stages.
GCSE students are required by the exam board to have two field work opportunities which are assessed as part of their final GCSE exams. For students in the current years 9 and 10, this will be one of those opportunities. Student who have not opted to study geography for GCSE will still benefit from this educational experience. For history students, understanding the impact of the industrial revolution and subsequent deindustrialisation on this part of London will be examined.
We plan to leav school and 9.30am and return for 3.30pm. The timings will be traffic dependent and we will update you with any delays.
Students will need to wear school uniform with weather appropriate layers and sensible shoes suitable for walking all day. Clean trainers with school uniform will be acceptable.
There will be no opportunity to shop in Westfield!
