The Kings and Queens
In 1808 the King of Britain was George I I I. He
reigned from 1760-1820. By 1820 he had gone blind and
mad.
Queen Victoria was queen from 1837 to 1901. In 1902 Queen
Victoria had just died and Edward VII was on the thrown.
He reigned from 1901-1910. .
Inventions
When the chapel was erected they had just invented
trains and when it was rebuilt they had invented
aeroplanes.
In 1912 a German inventor called Count Ferdinard Von
Zeppelin constructed framed airship kept a float by
lighter-than-air hydrogen Zepplins, as these airships
soon became known were fitted with engines that gave them
a top speed of about 24 km/h (15 mph).
In 1912 the Model-T Ford (which was first sold in 1918)
was invented. The Model-T Ford was originally
manufactured one at a time.
The Wars.
The French Nepoleonic wars 1792-1815. A famous battle
was that of the battle of Trafalgar in 1805 and that of
1815 fought at Waterloo when Napoleon was defeated.
The Crimaen war was fought in Russia between 1853 and
1856
In America there was a civil war from 1865 to 1865.
