Chapel History

We are writing about the Chapel history and all the people that went to it.

The Chapel is in the middle of Takeley Brewers End. It is on Hatfield Broad Oak side of the road. It is in Hatfield Broad oak Parish.

The Chapel was Erected in 1808 and rebuilt in 1902. The reason why they built the Chapel is because the people in Takeley wanted their own chapel which would be closer than Hatfield Broad oak chapel.

The chapel was rebuilt in 1902 because part of it was falling down, so they knocked it down and rebuilt it. It is still standing today. The chapel is about 97 years old. We found most of our information in directories, indenture's, on graves and in and around the chapel.
